Joey Capri
Joey Capri, originally from Calabria, Italy, immigrated to the United States at the age of five. He discovered his love for cooking early on, often joining his mother in the kitchen while she prepped her meals.
In 1984, at just 16 years old, Joey and his mother Annamaria, affectionately known as Momma Capri, opened the original Capri in the suburbs of Illinois. Their joint passion for cooking traditional southern Italian dishes quickly established the restaurant as a local favorite, renowned for its generous portions and exquisite wines.
Joey’s specialties include homemade rigatoni and pork chop Alla capri, embodying his saying that “TO EAT IS TO LIVE WELL!”
Now Joey has successfully hit his one-year anniversary at his second location inside the Doubletree Suites in Downers Grove, IL and soon to be third venture in West Palm Beach Florida.
